Children's art party

children's art parties

Imagine your child's party with Picasso, Monet, Warhol or Dali recreating their lives and all the children having parts to play. They would learn such a lot and have such fun. Picture the great artist following this with a fantastic painting workshop with every child having an easel, looking every inch the artist. The great artist will make painting fun, exciting and informative and everyone one will go home with a masterpiece.

Choose from 4 Children's Art Parties

1. Picasso: Potty Masterpieces

Children's Art Party Format

After the re-enactment of his life Picasso will show your children how to draw a whole group of interesting objects in his own inimitable style.

From their own drawings Picasso will show your children how to create an idea for a painting. He will them demonstrate how to mix and use paint in the Picasso way and soon your children will have produced a masterpiece.

  • Your artist will arrive in costume of your chosen artist.
  • He will re-enactment the artist's life with all youngsters having a part to play (approx: 25 minutes)
  • Work with the children to create a work of art in the style of the artist (approx: 90 minutes)
  • Paintings are usually A3 or A2 in size depending on the age of the children

2. Warhol: Superstar Faces

What you need to do

After the re-enactment of his life Warhol will photograph the face of each child. The photographs will be transferred to a laptop and projected onto large sheets of paper. Each child will draw around their own face.

From the drawings Warhol will show your children how to paint their faces using bright colours - red, blue, yellow etc for which he is famous. The paintings will be finished with the addition of brightly coloured lines. All digital images of the children will be deleted at the end of the party.

Kids drawingIt normally takes around 20 minutes to set up. It is preferable if the youngsters are not around when this takes place.

Please make sure the room is prepared for painting, believe it or not water pots and paint sometimes find themselves falling over. Filbert Splosh can accept no responsibility for damaged carpets etc. Also, ensure every child is wearing old clothes or is wearing a painting overall.

Water will have to be provided either in buckets or we shall need access to a sink.

If the re-enactment takes place in the same room as the painting, space will be required for the youngsters to sit on the floor around the projection screen. Obviously, a power socket will need to be available

Age groups

Children need to be at least 4 years old to appreciate these parties. Parties are designed for two age groups:

  • 4 to 10 year olds
  • 11 and over

Please Note:
The Dali: Wacky Illusions party is not suitable for the 4 to 10 year old age group.

Children under the age of 7 will probably need the help of an older sibling or adult with elements of the Warhol: Superstar Faces party

3. Monet : Glorious Impressions

After the re-enactment of his life Monet will show your children how to draw trees and everything else in the landscape. From their own drawings they will create a picture ready for painting.

Monet will show the children the techniques of Impressionist painting, different ways to use the brush for example, and colour mixing. The children will create their own Impressionist painting

4. Dali : Wacky Illusions

After the re-enactment of his life Dali will use some fascinating methods to get the children to generate weird and wonderful ideas. From these ideas Dali will show them how to organise their brainwaves into a painting.
